Russian and Czech manuals updated

You may have seen them on the game manuals page already: the russian "Hammers of Fate" 2.0 manual is available, as well as the russian and czech 1.4 updates. These have been prepared in collaboration with Heroic Corner (russian) and Heroes Centrum (czech), as before.

You'll find the "Hammers of Fate" new content in version 2.0, but also in all versions new details on how diplomacy works, among others, thanks to thorough researches by alexrom66 and Evil-Good. I posted more update details in the manuals thread.

Dedication deserves Dedication!

Thanks to GAO, Age of Heroes and Heroes Community have moved from shared hosting to a dedicated server! This is a huge leap in both speed and reliability of both web sites. Aside from this, plenty of room and bandwidth for great features to come in the future! Try reloading this page and see if you feel the difference :) Post impressions here.

Find your Hammers of Fate information on AoH

As Heroes 5 first addon is hitting the shelves all over the world, you might need some specific information, about dwarven creatures, Fortress heroes, Runemage's skills and abilities or specializations. As you could expect, you'll find all these here on Age of Heroes, with the runic spells, the new artifacts and the Fortress buildings.

The update is not complete yet, so if you're looking for something that is not yet updated, join the discussion with the community in the meantime!

And for those of you who enjoy the pdf manuals, they're coming soon as well, both in 1.4 and 2.0 versions, and in 7 languages!

Hammers of Fate Released!

Stores around the world have their Heroes V Expansion packs ready to go! Yes it is release day for most of us, but no reviews have been posted as yet. However, a couple of lucky people already have their hands on the expansion. You can read their initial impressions here and here on the Ubi boards.
Interestingly, you can also download the expansion for USD 29.95 if you are in the USA, Canada or Mexico from this site. Alternatively, order Hammers of Fate from Amazon here.

Patch 1.4 is available

One week before the anticipated release of Hammers of Fate, patch 1.4 is available. It mostly contains bug fixes, but some new things made their way in there as well, like an updated map editor or the "paper doll" display of the hero's artifacts.

Discuss the patch with the Heroes Community.
As always, we did our best to give you a lightning update: the buildings, skills, creatures, ... pages on AoH are now up-to-date with 1.4 data. And you'll find details about the changes in the HC thread above.

Hammers of Fate goes Gold

It has been announced on Ubi's Official Might and Magic site that the Hammers of Fate expansion has indeed gone gold. Simultaneous turns, an option that was initially believed to be in v1.0, will be made available in the expansion. With 1.4 due out very soon, it has been a busy time for Nival.

While the official random map generator will be out with the expansion on November 16 (for most countries), Tapani has once again updated his random map generator. Download v.78b here.
Those of you who browse the site regularly may have noticed the Manuals Page that Sfidanza has put together. It offers the current version manual in every language for download, as well as a few interesting production notes.

Tapani's Random Map Generator on AoH + HoF Updates

Tapani has been kind enough to allow us to host his Random Map Generator. The page, which contains the newly updated v.75 Beta generator, also elaborates on how it works and has a small tutorial on how to use it efficiently. Leave your feedback at his HC thread.

In other news, a new Hammers of Fate trailer has been made available on the Might and Magic Official sites. Sfidanza has quickly updated our Hammers of Fate pages with the tidbits of new information released in the video.

Heroes V Unofficial Random Map Generator

Instead of waiting for the Random Map Generator, HC member Tapani decided he'd make one himself. The program, a download of only 124 KB, is very simple and easy-to-use, however, it is only tested with the European version of the game, but works reliably with patch 1.2 and 1.3. It was created with heads-up multiplayer games in mind, and is currently in its beta stage.

To download the program and discover how it works, click here. (Remember to read the readme).

H5 manual in czech and russian

The Heroes 5 manual is now available in czech as well! We produced it in collaboration with Jata, from heroes-centrum. That's the 6th localized version of the manual!
We also updated the russian version to 1.3 status, with the Heroic Corner team, which has been as helpful as usual in datamining.
And as before, thanks to Ubisoft to host the files.

Downloads: Czech Manual (48.0Mb), Russian Manual (51.5Mb)
