Sound editing tutorial

by Kainc

Since I havent seen any guides how to change sounds for HOMMV TOE (and most like for previous versions), I’ll post mine here. Sounds are located in soundsfx.pak and they are named as, for example “337FA5B7-5235-4E23-9714-AD6E5769817E”. These files have no extension, but they can be opened / played at least with Audacity and Media Player Classic (both tested, but you might need certain audio codecs).’’’’’’’’’’’’

Here’s the list of commands. Basically, the page of any command should contain the description from Nival script functions pdf manual. Then, any addition is welcome if you have some more experience with it.

EnableHeroAI(heroName,false)

Description

heroName is internal name of the hero controlled by computer
Second argument takes values true (enable) or false (disable).

Function returns console error as if there was no value of “false” variable. Of course it makes no sense in terms of logic and should be ignored, function does work as desired nontheless.’
